Born to social-activist parents aged 46 when she was born, Rachel grew up working the fields and caring for livestock on a sheep ranch in Northern Minnesota in the ‘60s. She moved to Oregon in 1977, landing in SE Portland in ‘82 and loving it. She considers Mt Tabor the heart of town and never strays too far away.
The work ethic and passion for contribution she learned growing up reflect in her professionalism.
Her first career was massage therapy and grief counseling, which seems a far step to the real estate work she loves! She earned her license in 2004 and became one of Oregon’s first Seniors Real Estate Specialists (SRES®) in 2005. The work uses her gifts for educating, advocacy, and bringing a calm, clear energy to the process. She has stayed true to this focus ever since, always expanding her expertise for how to be of service to her peers – Boomers, elders and their loved ones. This includes her work as a Loan Officer (MLS #1502324) focused on financial programs just for older adults.
Friendships, dancing to live music, creating beauty through container gardening, walks, yoga, reading, and laughing as much as humanly possible round out her interests.
