Rachel Hemmingson
Broker
Licensed In OR
Born to social-activist parents aged 46 when she was born, Rachel grew up working the fields and caring for livestock on a sheep ranch in Northern Minnesota in the ‘60s. She moved to Oregon in 1977, landing in SE Portland in ‘82 and loving it. She considers Mt Tabor the heart of town and never strays too far away.
The work ethic and passion for contribution she learned growing up reflect in her professionalism.
As one of Oregon’s very first certified Seniors Real Estate Specialists, Rachel developed deep expertise as a source of education, support, resources and advocacy for her primary clients – her peers and older homeowners. Besides her capacity as a residential realtor, Rachel is versed in the use of the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage for PURCHASE – which is often a game changer. It can allow older homeowners to retain substantial proceeds from the sale of a property they are “right-sizing” out of. Or, they may be able to purchase about twice as much house as anticipated based on proceeds. Rachel's aim is to be a holistic resource to all of her clients
Friendships, dancing to live music, creating beauty through container gardening, walks, yoga, reading, and laughing as much as humanly possible round out her interests.
