A frequent mover, Thai immigrated from Vietnam as a child and has lived in various neighborhoods around Portland since 1990. Prior to that, he spent much of his childhood in Philadelphia, and later Orlando for college at the University of Central Florida where he obtained a Bachelor's in Business Entrepreneurship. Living in all of these different environments meant that Thai and his family have invested a great deal of time and energy into buying or selling houses; not only to live in, but for investment purposes as well.

Prior to venturing into real estate, Thai was a barber having grown up in a family run salon. When not working Thai likes to spend as much time as possible with a newborn daughter Harper, snowboarding in the winter, and traveling to new places whenever possible.
